Aeromaster's
Marauding Mitchells Part 1 Decals
are available online from
Squadron.com
Aeromaster’s new release of Marauding Mitchells part 1 48-683 is printed
to the usual high standard that we come to expect from Aeromaster. The
artwork for the nose art has been well defined with the nose art for
Betty’s Dream being provided as an outline and a template provided on
the instruction sheet to mask up and paint the solid base colour. The
colour reference sheet provided is excellent giving good colour
reference and decal placement.
Markings are provided for two aircraft listed below.
-
Rita’s Wagon a B-25D-5 of the 500th
BS flown by Lt Colonel Max H Mortensen in Olive Drab over Neutral
Gray with red cowling lips.
-
Betty’s Dream a B-25J-30 of the 499th
Bomb Squadron 345th Bomb Group based in the Philippines in 1945 and
flown by Lt Charles E Rice Jr. The colours are olive drab over
Neutral Gray with a very dark blue bat over the nose and dark blue
engine cowl lips.
The decals are in perfect register and sharply printed. The carrier film
is very thin and should disappear under a coating of clear finish.
Highly Recommended.
Thanks to Eagle
Strike / Aeromaster for the review samples
