Mike Grant has once again excelled with this terrific decal sheet release.
The markings are for B-17G, 42-38050
"Thunderbird" that flew 112 bombing missions with the 359th BS / 303rd BG flying
out of Molesworth. The aircraft eventually became a first mission ship for new
inexperienced crews.
The aircraft was bare metal when it arrived at
the 303rd but was hastily painted in Olive Drab over Neutral Gray.
The decals are exceptional, in perfect
register and excellent colour definition. The carrier film is very thin and will
require careful handling during application.
