  • A black tail bad with a white bat.
  • Rescue arrows with black stencilled rescue instructions

·        Red with white “last four” markings for the nose undercarriage leg.

·        A set of black serial numbers for the tail – No DY Wing identifier is supplied for this option.

·        A set of low-viz stars and bars.  Only one set of this style is supplied on the sheet.

86-0104 “American Flyer” of the 28th BW based at Ellsworth AFB.  Finish is overall FS 36081 dark grey, with a disruptive pattern of FS34086 dark green, to the upper surfaces and FS 36118 gunship grey to the undersides.  Markings include:

  • Nose art in the form of a flying Bald Eagle, clutching arrows superimposed over a flying US flag with the name “American Flyer” in orange.

·        “Mount Rushmore” art for the top of the tail.

·        Orange and blue stripes for the tail and red and white Ellsworth scripts for the tail

·        Subdued grey serial numbers for the tail

·        Black stencilled ground crew names for the nose wheel door.

·        Red rescue arrows with grey stencilled rescue instructions.

·        Black “last four” for the nose undercarriage leg.

·        A set of unusual stars and bars, again, only one set of this style is supplied.

85-0079 “Warriors Dream” the 28th BW based at Ellsworth AFB.  Finish is the same as the previous aircraft, overall FS 36081 dark grey, with a disruptive pattern of FS34086 dark green, to the upper surfaces and FS 36118 gunship grey to the undersides.  Markings are also the same as the previous aircraft with the exception of the nose art which is in two parts and features a showering female wearing a red lei.

The sheet also features a white airborne refuelling marking.

Conclusion

All markings on the sheet are in perfect register which is noteworthy given the complexity of some of the nose art.

Decal placement is as per usual with Cutting Edge, a double-sided full colour A-4 sheet which gives views of both sides of each subject and the camouflage pattern for the 28th BW options.  A separate sheet gives pertinent notes on each aircraft as well as the FS 595 needed to paint the aircraft matched against the popular modelling paints.

A nice sheet and it is recommended.
