This is a new sheet from Blue Sky Models and once again they have produced an interesting scheme this time for the South African C-47tp-EW Turbo Dakota.

The decals are crisply printed with good colour saturation and good register. The carrier film is ultra thin and this means the decals need to be handled carefully and should snuggle down into the surface detail well. The carrier film should almost totally disappear under a coat of clear finish.

The instruction sheet is printed on A4 paper and this is a much better standard of colour printing then this company’s earlier decal instruction sheets.

This aircraft is overall blue-grey with a white upper fuselage surface and black anti glare panels. Large white letters reading “70 years of Dak excellence” are printed along the fuselage sides with the anniversary shield painted on the rear fuselage. The South African flag is painted on the main surface of the vertical fin.
