In a desperate attempt to get jet powered aircraft into the German skies, Heinkel designed the “people’s fighter”, the Heinkel He162.

Made primarily off wood, the He 162 was conceived and produced in 100 days.

A unique looking airplane that only equipped one Jagdgruppe, the markings were surprisingly diverse.

These new decals from Cutting Edge are very colorful. Six airplanes are included and every aircraft has the national markings for it. If German airplanes are not your cup of tea (pun intended), this sheet contains two airplanes in British markings. Being a very late war airplane the choice of colors is limited but this sheet covers all the available color options.

Markings included are “Red 1 Nervenklau”, “Yellow 6”, “White 1” and “White 5”. Every airplane has the red arrow on the nose.

Typical of Cutting Edge decals, they are thin, opaque, and in register.
