Looking for something a little different for your B-17? How about a
shark mouth? The latest sheet from Cutting Edge has just that. Tiger
Girl is a late B-17F, which has a G model nose turret, upon which
the shark mouth is painted. There are no squadron codes on this
machine, but some interesting markings on the tail. The tongue in
cheek marking includes a circle that says, “Shoot here Jerry”.
A B-17G-10 called the “Duke of Paducah” from the 91st BG carries a
zoot suiter on both sides of the nose. The aircraft sports a B-17F
on the top turret. The Duke could have a red surround or a normal
star and bar.
This sheet does not include any of the national markings. You will
have to get those from the national markings sheets, CED48262 or
CED48263.
