Cutting Edge Decals' latest
release offers some interesting markings for German V-1 and V-2
rockets, plus American JB-2 Loon rockets, in multiple scales on the
one decal sheet.
I was especially pleased to see
this new release as I have had a V-2 on my display shelf for some
time that has been screaming out for a dash of colour. After about
five minutes work, it finally has its individual touch!
In addition to two pieces of
"rocket body art" for the big 1/35 scale Dragon or 1/48 scale Mauve
V-2. the sheet is packed with options in 1/72 and 1/48 scale for V-1
and JB-2 Loon pulse-jets. Many of these markings are applied over
very colourful schemes, and will make for some interesting diorama
potential.
Some stencil markings are included
on the decal sheet.
Instructions are by way of a full-colour,
double-sided letter sized placement guide and an accompanying monochrome sheet with additional
notes and a bibliography; plus paint suggestions for Xtracolor,
Floquil, Polly Scale, Gunze, Tamiya, Model Master and even
ProModeler.
The decals are perfectly printed, thin, in register and with a minimum
of carrier film.
Whether you have the MAC 1/72
scale V-1 and Loon kits, or the Mauve 1/48 scale V-2, the Tamiya or
Monogram V-1s, or the big 1/35 scale Dragon V-2, this decal sheet
will offer plenty of options!
