Eagle Cals always seem to release well-researched products. This
decal sheet is no exception. It is also timely, as is intended for the
quite superb 1/32 Trumpeter kit. As usual for this firm the decals are
first rate in terms of printing, colour density and thin carrier film.
Three
late war 262A-1 aircraft are depicted on the sheet and these are
Yellow 5 of KG(J) 6
This machine was captured at Munchen-reim. The finish is RLM82
and RLM83 over RLM76 with a fairly low demarcation line and a
tailfin that has moderate splotching of 82 and 83. A Thin Rvd band
is included as a decal and is red and dark blue.
Yellow 3 of II./.JG7 This aircraft was shot
down near Klotze in 1945
A photo of the downed is included on the instruction sheet. The
finish is again RLM82 and RLM83 over RLM76 This too has a fairly low
and quite soft demarcation line with moderate splotching of 82 and
83 on the tail fin. No decal is provided for the RV band but the
thin yellow demarcation is supplied.
Yellow 5 of II/JG7
This aircraft was flown my Anton Schoppler
A photo of this aircraft is also included on the instruction
sheet. The finish is a very splotchy RLM83 and RLM82 over RLM76 This
machine has a mid fuselage demarcation line and the splotching is
very heavy on the fuselage becoming more fine as it meets the
tailfin. Of note is the engine cowling and upper panel as they are
moth in natural metal, No blue and red RV band is included on the
decal sheet
