Revell has recently re-released the Matchbox 1/72 scale Handley Page Victor kit, including new parts to permit a K.2 Tanker variant to be modelled in addition to the original B.2 nuclear strike variant. Euro Decals has now complimented this kit release with their debut decal set.

Euro Decals 1/72 scale Handley Page Victors includes markings for twelve individual aircraft wearing schemes covering the V-Bomber's introduction to service in the early 1960s right up until the Gulf War in the early 1990s.

The specific camouflage and marking variations are:

• Victor B.Mk.2 in Overall Anti-Flash Gloss White with large, toned down light blue, white and pink roundels.

• Victor B.Mk.2R in Medium Sea Grey and Dark Green camouflaged upper surfaces with Gloss White lower surfaces and a mixture of "toned down" and hi viz red, white and blue markings.

• Victor B.Mk.1A in Medium Sea Grey and Dark Green camouflaged upper surfaces with Gloss White lower surfaces and hi viz red, white and blue markings.

• Victor B.Mk.1 in Medium Sea Grey and Dark Green camouflaged upper surfaces with Gloss White lower surfaces and red/blue tactical markings.

• Victor K.Mk.2 (x 8) in Hemp upper surfaces and Light Aircraft Grey lower surfaces.

In addition to the individual aircraft markings, national markings and stencils, Euro Decals supply dayglo markings on a separate half-sheet.

The decals are printed by Fantasy Printshop and they are a joy to behold. The decals are thin and glossy, with minimal carrier film.

Instructions are supplied on three glossy, double-sided A4 sheets with attractive and plentiful diagrams supported by helpful notes (click thumbnail at right to see larger image of sample page).

Colour callouts include reference to BS number, closest FS match and cross reference for Humbrol and Xtracolour paints (but what about us acrylic paint users!)

Euro Decals' 1/72 scale Handley Page Victors is an exciting package produced to a very high standard.

I was so impressed that as soon as I examined the decals, I went out and bought a second Victor kit - there are just too many attractive options!

This set should be an essential companion to Revell's 1/72 scale Victor bomber or tanker versions.
