Mike Yeo from Horizon ModelTech has sent the following information about two forthcoming releases:

D72-001 Singapore Scooters

 

 

This sheet covers the A-4 Skyhawk in Republic of Singapore Air Force service, featuring Skyhawks from the late 1970s to today. Included will be:

  • Markings for 11 RSAF A-4s

  • Full stencils for 3 camouflaged RSAF A-4s and 2 Black Knights aircraft.

  • Old RSAF “yin-yang” markings in high and low visibility, & current Lionhead insignia

The full lineup will be:

  • A-4S Skyhawk, 143 Sqn, late 1970s

  • A4S-1 Skyhawk, 142 Sqn, mid-1980s

  • A4S-1 Skyhawk, 142 Sqn, late 1980s

  • A-4SU Super Skyhawk, unknown unit, RSAF Open House 2001

  • TA-4SU Super Skyhawk, unknown unit, Ex Cobra Gold 2002

  • A-4SU Super Skyhawk, 150 Sqn RSAF, Cazaux, France 2002

This sheet will only be available in 1/72 and is meant to be the equivalent of the 1/48 scale sheet released last year.



D48/72-002 SE Asian Vipers

 

 

This sheet covers the Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon (or Viper) in the service of 3 Southeast Asian Air Forces; Indonesia (TNI-AU), Singapore (RSAF) and Thailand (RTAF). The sheet will include the following;

  • Markings for 14 F-16s (6 RSAF, 4 RTAF, 4 TNI-AU)

  • Full, unique stencils for a total of 8 aircraft from all 3 air forces

  • Old and current colour schemes for TNI-AU and RTAF Vipers

  • At least 1 aircraft from each of the units of the 3 Air Forces that operated the Viper

Pilot's names for the RSAF Vipers

The full lineup of the 14 aircraft are:

  • F-16A and B – TNI-AU in old 3-tone Blue camouflage

  • F-16A and B – TNI-AU in new Millennium scheme

  • F-16A and B – RSAF 140 Squadron mid-1990s

  • F-16C – RSAF 140 Sqn, RSAF Open House 2001

  • F-16D – RSAF 140 Sqn, Ex Pitch Black 2002

  • F-16C – RSAF 143 Sqn, RSAF Open House 2001

  • F-16D – RSAF 143 Sqn, Ex Pitch Black 2002

  • F-16A/B – RTAF 103 Sqn in Compass Ghost Grey scheme, 1990

  • F-16A – RTAF 403 Sqn, Don Muang RTAFB Open House 2003

  • F-16B-ADF – RTAF 102 Sqn Don Muang RTAFB Open House 2003

Most of the research on these sheets were done using first-hand information from our collection of photographs where possible, however we have also relied on the assistance of a few trusted modelers who have supplied us with close-ups shots of the actual aircraft from their own collections.

The release date is expected to be mid-2003.
