 Coinciding
with the release of LHD32001, Linden Hill Imports has released LHD32003 Stencil
data for the new Trumpeter 1/32 SU-27 Flanker kit.
The sheet comes with one full size sheet and two partial
sheets of stencils and Russian stars. The sheet is for use on mainly
Soviet/Russian/CIS service as the stencil data is in all Cyrillic. The
instructions note that most Flankers in foreign use other than India’s feature
Cyrillic stenciling.
The instructions on this particular sheet are grey and black with very concise
placement aided by arrows for each stencil. As with all aircraft it is always
good to check your references for the particular aircraft you are modeling to
check exact placement of stencils and markings.
One item of note on this sheet is the inclusion of six
faded red stars along with six bright red Russian stars .
Another nice touch is the inclusion of stencil data for a
two seat Flanker. Maybe the guys ant Linden Hill know something that we don’t
huh?
The decals themselves are in good register with limited carrier film. What
carrier film is there is very thin so little trimming should be necessary if you
have a good gloss base coat down.
I am quite impressed with this sheet and am looking forward
to adding the stencils to my big Flanker.
