This decal sheet from VFA Productions covers the F-5 family of aircraft flying in the number 11 and 12 Skuadron Tentera Udara DI-Raja Malaysia (TUDM).

The sheet consists of twelve different aircraft in several very striking paint schemes.

The decals themselves look a lot like Microscale printed decals and are quite thin. On my example everything is within register and there is very little carrier film evident.

The instructions are, as can be seen, full color and consist of three pages. I did not include the top and bottom page as this only goes over the plan view paint schemes.

The options on the sheet are as follows:

  1. F-5E M29-14, Number 11 Squadron. This aircraft is overall aluminum with black anti glare panel and radome. Round National markings and Cobra on the tail.

  2. F-5E FM-2205, Number 12 Squadron. All aluminum finish with black radome and anti glare panel. Large square National Insignia and fin flash

  3. F-5E M29-12, Number 11 Squadron. Aircraft is painted in three tone camouflage of FS36375, FS36440 and FS36495. It has the round national markings and Cobra squadron tail markings.

  4. F-5E M29-01,Number 12 Squadron. This aircraft has the same wraparound paint scheme as option 3 but has square National markings and Scorpion logo on the tail.

  5. F-5E M29-13 Number 11 Squadron. Aircraft painted in three tone color scheme of FS36375, FS36440 and FS35109 over FS36440 undersides. This aircraft has square national markings and a Cobra logo on the tail.

  6. F-5E M29-12 Number 12 Squadron. This aircraft wears the same scheme as option five but has the Scorpion logo instead of the Cobra logo.

  7. F-5B, FM-2201, Number 12 Squadron. Aircraft is in aluminum finish with flat black anti glare panel as well as top of radome. It has the large square national insignia and fin flash

  8. F-5B, FM-2202, Number 12 Squadron. Same scheme as option 7 above

  9. RF-5E, M29-19, Number 11 Squadron. Aircraft is in the three color scheme of FS36375, FS36440 and FS36495. It has round national markings and a Cobra squadron marking on the tail.

  10. RF-5E, M29-20, Number 12 Squadron. Same scheme as option 9 above. This aircraft has the square national insignia and Scorpion on the tail.

  11. F-5F, FM-2251, Number 12 Squadron. Aircraft is overall aluminum with flat black anti glare panel and top of radome. It has large square national insignia and fin flash.

  12. F-5F, M29-15, Number 12 Squadron. Aircraft is in three color scheme the same as options 9 and 10. It has the round national insignia and Scorpion squadron tail logo.

This is a wonderful little decal sheet and the markings of the “aggressor” aircraft look very cool. I picked up my sheet from Two Bobs at www.TwoBobs.net  I highly recommend it for F-5 fans looking for something different.

Highly  Recommended.
