FirstLook

Nothing beats that “painted on look” for National markings. Montex have come to the aid of anyone building the excellent 1/48 scale Tamiya kit with a complete set of national markings, canopy and wheel hub masks for 2 aircraft.

Marking Options

Two late war 262’s depicted on the Masks supplied. These are:

  1. White 8 the famous aircraft of Walter Nowotny in RLM 81 and 82 in a soft edge splinter scheme on the topside and Rlm76 on the bottom The masks do not include the hard edge camo on the tail. But do include the mask for the yellow band on the fuselage.

  2. White 35 How here is one I’ve never seen! The instructions state it’s an aircraft from 2 /NAGr.6 in 1945. I would love if Montex included a photo Reference for this aircraft as it sure is an interesting one it has a black or dark green nose with a fuselage camo scheme of a soft mottle of RLM 82 and 81 over a base of RLM 76. The wings are natural metal on the top and the bottom This one would make an outstanding model.

Conclusion

This mask set is a very handy accessory for delivering a different look to your big Trumpeter Dora. The canopy masks in particular are very well done and the combination of both and inside and outside mask is a great idea…. nothing worse than shiny grey paint on the inside of German aircraft!

Recommended.
