Red Roo’s latest decal release represents Aussie Warbirds’ CAC CA-18 Mustang Mk 21 VH-AUB ex RAAF A68-107, as it appeared in September 2001.

The 1/48 scale decals are nicely silk-screen printed. The carrier film is quite thin and should disappear under a coating of clear finish. The decals are very crisply printed and have good detail and colour rendition.

The aircraft is painted in overall silver lacquer so a final coat of clear should not be a problem. The colour reference sheet provided is excellent giving good colour reference and decal placement for the scheme provided. The aircraft was displayed in an overall Post office Red Scheme for a few years before being painted in an overall silver RAAF scheme in 2001. It carries the civilian registration of VH-AUB and a colour photograph taken at Scone NSW in September 2001 is provided on the instruction sheet.
