With the recent announcement from Academy
(official or not) I have decided to take it upon myself to give you a
heads up on a new Two Bobs release for the F-16 in 1/32 scale.
32-019
covers Block 52 jets out of Mountain Homes 389th Fighter Squadron
Thunderbolts. This Squadron deployed for Operation Enduring Freedom
and the sheet contains some pretty awesome “nose” art from that
deployment. All aircraft are in the standard FS36118 /FS36270 color
scheme carried by most F-16 Squadrons nowadays. You get markings for
five different specially marked jets including a very awesome US flag
marked jet with a Fireman handing the flag to a US Serviceman. The
other four jets include a Grim Reaper, Snoopy, Marvin the Martian and
a Vulture. Now you have to pick wisely as there are only enough
National Insignias and stencils for one aircraft.
All of the colors are spot on and the register is typical Two
Bobs….perfect! The decals are printed by Microscale and there is very
little carrier film. One of the really cool features of every Two Bobs
sheet are the instructions which are full color and contain photos of
the real aircraft. Also included on this sheet is a history of the
GBU-31 and CBU-103 in combat. Along those lines are four suggested
load outs used by the 389th during Operation Enduring Freedom.
This sheet is one to hold on to and add to your Hasegawa 1/32 F-16 or,
you can be like me and wait on the Academy kit.
Recommended.
I wish to thank the Two Bobs for the sheet. Two Bobs decals are
