It
seems to me that the F-16 is to jet builders like the Messerschmitt
Bf 109 is to WWII prop job builders.
I have a pile of F-16s in 1/48 scale in the stash and one of the
issues I have with my decal sheets are the lack of stencils and
general markings for them. Well, Two Bobs just came to the rescue
with sheet 48-083 for F-16A/B/C/D that includes nothing but
stencils, and tail markings. Long gone are the days of having to
cobble together serial numbers as there are enough to make pretty
much any F-16 that ever flew in the USAF inventory. There are also a
couple of paint barn logos to add that special touch to your
particular jet. You also get a couple of In Flight Refueling
receptacle door stencils along with a/c numbers that go on them.
The instructions are very clear and concise. You also get several
photos of 1:1 F-16s showing stencil placement. I think that this
sheet will be a very welcome addition to anyone who has a kit of the
Viper in 1/48 scale. I know I am going to buy a couple more.
Recommended.
