Tired of all grey F-16s?? If so this is a great sheet for you. You get a choice of three F-16s to do in the way cool looking European I paint scheme. Each of the jets represented are very low block numbers so make sure to use the correct kits when building them. The three choices are:

  1. F-16B Block 1 s/n 78-0096

  2. F-16C Block 25A s/n 83-1129

  3. F-16B Pre Production jet s/n 75-0752 This jet has the Powered By P&W 220 stencil just below the vertical stab.

The decals themselves are typical Two Bobs with minimal carrier film and are well within register.

My only issue with the set lie in the instructions. I am sure it was an oversight but in the title of the sheet an A model is called out and I believe the second option that is labeled a C model is actually a late A. I may be mistaken and will surely appreciate anyone’s correction.

One other little issue I had was with the small size of the top and bottom views. This particular paint scheme has three colors which literally blend together in two dimensions and I thought the top and bottom views were a tad too small and could cause a bit of confusion when painting. That of course is just my opinion and I surely would not recommend avoiding purchasing this set because of that. You could easily just blow up the paint diagrams.

I sure love the paint schemes and every time Bob comes out with a new sheet, I seem to “need” to go out and buy a new kit to put the markings on. This one is no exception.

Recommended.

My thanks to Bob Sanchez at Two Bobs Aviation Graphics for the review sample
