1/72 scale sheets from Yellow Wings Decals.
This time it is a
"filler sheet" in that it contains a full sheet of national insignia
rather than being for a specific aircraft.
The sheet provides the U.S. national "star-in-circle" insignia used
between 1919 and 1942 in six different sizes.
The sheet contains 54 insignia in all. Eight 60", eight 55", 10 52",
ten 46", eight 42", and 10 42".
As always with Yellow Wings Decals, you are provided with supporting
reference material. This comes in the form of a single A-4 sized
sheet. The front of this sheet provides a background to the origins
of the marking and its use, sizes and where it was to be located on
the airframe of the aircraft of the period. The back of the sheet
provides you with a list of aircraft that the decals can be applied
to and which sized ones to use on which aircraft.
The decals themselves have been printed by Microscale.
The decal sheet, supporting information page and stiff cardboard
header come packed in a clear plastic zip-loc bag.
