The latest sheet in the ever popular Zotz decal line is the Nordic
Tiger Special scheme painted on a Norwegian F-16AM of 338 Skv with a special
Tiger scheme on the tail as seen at the 2004 air show at Payerne Switzerland.
Eli at Zotz sure has an eye for color and always comes up with some very cool
markings for us.
The decals themselves are very nicely printed and have excellent color density.
The addition of the white background on the tail is a very welcome addition to
help ensure that the Tiger is not translucent..
There are a couple of items worth mentioning about this jet though. First off,
all Nowegian Vipers have the extended parachute housing at the base of the tail.
If you are doing a 1/32 kit you have to order the PWMP set. Also, if you are
doing 1/32 you have to use the Hasegawa kit or wit on the forthcoming Academy
kit. In 1/48 and in 1/72 there are kits available with the extended tail. I only
point this out because the instructions have the standard F-16 Block 25 tail. I
have also been informed by a Norwegian F-16 expert by the name of Nils Mathisrud
that the roundels are also wrong. He commented that the shape of the roundels is
not right. He says that the roundels are 280mm in 1/1 scale. It has also been
pointed out to me that this aircraft sports mission markings on it which are not
included on the sheet.

The aircraft was built at the Fokker plant in the Netherlands and is painted
in FS36270 overall. The pylons, missile rails and fuel tanks should all be
painted FS36375 as that is how they were delivered from the U.S.
With all of that being said these are still wonderful decals. The tail art alone
is well worth the price you pay for the sheet(s). Please note that all three
different scales contain the same stuff so I am doing this review as a blanket
review for all three scales.
I would certainly like to see some pics of the real jet so if anyone has one
or two I would be most grateful to get them.
Recommended.
